Gift Package

While you were watching the GMAC Bowl last night, you may have found yourself wondering what the players got in their gift package. Each player on the Toledo and UTEP squads recieved a commemorative football, a commemorative watch, some luggage, and an attache case.

Pretty weak. You can tell that this is not a major bowl, because the gift of an attache case seems to carry along the message, “Guess what, pal, if the best you can do is the GMAC Bowl, I see you carrying an attache case to work in your immediate future.”

That’s one of the weaker gift packages, though it does beat out the New Orleans Bowl, which is giving up only New Orleans Bowl Championship rings and watches. That’s pretty harsh. I mean, these guys don’t even get a trip to New Orleans out of the deal. I’m surprised that no players quit immediately before the game.

mp3 players are big this year. Five different bowl games are giving out mp3 players of some kind. Digital camcorders are also big, and multiple bowl games are also giving out Sony PSPs. Some of the other more notable gifts…

Pioneer Pure Vision Las Vegas Bowl: Tickets to see Blue Man Group. I see this gift as a preventive measure of sorts. Young athletic men with free time in Vegas, the land of free booze… you might see fewer police reports if you can stick them all in a Blue Man Group show, rather than just letting them run free around the Bunny Ranch.

Toyota Gator Bowl: Gator Bowl ring, commemorative watch, baseball cap, and duffel bag. That’s pretty weak for a January 2nd bowl. I mean, the MPC Computers Bowl could get away with this, but the Gator is a reasonably big deal. Step it up, Gator Bowl.

Hairbrush

A brush is typically used on longer hair, while a comb is normally used on shorter hair, but can

be still used for short hair. A flat brush is normally used for detangling neat and tidy hair,

after a sleep; a round brush for styling and curling hair, especially by a professional stylist,

and with a blowdryer. A paddle brush is used to straighten hair, but not all work, they are

usually used on untidy unkept hair. A hairbrush is also useful in removing loose hairs, and in

increasing circulation to the scalp.

The brushing of a domestic animal’s fur is often perceived as a mark of affection and/or a bonding

experience, which can have a soothing effect, e.g. making a cat purr. Special brushes are made for

cats and dogs. For an equine’s tougher hair, a curry-comb is used.

Bath Accessories

When decorating a kids bathroom considering what the child enjoyments are and how you can best fit bathroom accessories and other bath dor items into the theme. If your child is into cars, animals, sports, flowers or anything else first look at the bathroom you will be decorating and see what it can hold. Look for bath accessories that have the same theme such as a matching lotion pump, soap dish, bathtub soap dispenser, wastebasket, tissue box cover and toothbrush holders.

Wallpaper borders can really bring the theme together whether it is placed on one wall or entirely around the room where the wall meets the ceiling. Decorative bath towels pull double duty in that the towels can be used as a decorative wall accessory yet are functional. If your budget does not allow for all of the bathroom accessories to be purchased consider where you need or really want the same themed items in the bathroom. For instance; if you have a themed shower curtain consider a few counter top accessory pieces for your child. Simply placing a toothbrush holder and a soap dish or lotion pump dispenser on the counter will carry the selected theme to the sink cabinet space. To stay within budget even more consider a bath tumbler that can be used for both a water glass and a toothbrush holder.

Adding a wallpaper border and a matching bath rug will pull the eye from ceiling to floor creating a well put together bath. Using a decorative hand towel with the same theme and possibly a bath towel to hang on a towel bar mounted on the wall will also allow you the freedom to bring in solid colored towels that match the design of the decorative towels. Shower Curtains can double as a window treatment with little effort by simply trimming and hemming the curtain to the proper length and finishing the look with shower curtain hooks. If space in the room allows consider a basket in the corner for storing extra towels or toys. You can also bring in a few of your child cherished collectibles or personal accessories but be careful where the items are placed as airborne moisture could possibly damage the items. Just remember the bathroom, especially a kidbathroom, needs to withstand the heavy dowsing from sinks, bathtubs and showers not to mention the unknown dirt children will introduce to the room.

Remember to use sound judgment when decorating a bathroom for a child; use bath accessories appropriate for the age of the child. Many of the accessory bath pieces are made of resin or plastic ?a smart choice for younger children. The most important element in decorating a bathroom for use by a kid is to have fun and use your imagination as well as your child.
